It was announced today that nineteen year old "Soul Surfer" star AnnaSophia Robb has been signed to portray a teenage version of the iconic character "Carrie Bradshaw" in the new CW series “The Carrie Diaries”. The prequel to SATC will apparently be set in Connecticut with a young CB being raised by widowed father. I can imagine it must be daunting to take on this role as Carrie Bradshaw was one of the most legendary characters in television history. However if the young actress is nervous about portraying a young "Carrie Bradshaw" she should read the SJP quote above. Apparently even the original was nervous about playing Carrie Bradshaw...

Looks wise I think they did a pretty good job casting... What do you think?
