I have written about some seriously over-priced, extravagant nonsense (remember the $25,000 toilet?) but even I cannot deal with what I'm about to show you. Usually I love me some opulence and decadence. I'm Glamour Whore, opulence and decadence are 2 of my favorite adjectives. And I sure as hell love diamonds. However... These $15,000 diamond and gold contact lenses?! Oh. Hell. No. They are the tackiest things I have ever seen in my life. Ever. I already LOATHE colored contacts and the people who wear them, but these are on a whole other level of fuckery. The article in The Daily Mail said the doctor who created them was inspired by the jewels in his wife's teeth. I quit.

They are part of the company's La SER Jewelry range and will be available in four designs: 18 diamonds on white gold, 18 diamonds on yellow gold, just white gold and yellow gold.

Mr Chawan said that the lenses weigh 5 grams in total, sit between 6mm and 9mm away from the cornea and hold water in front of it to soothe the eye.

Shekhar Eye Research says that the design will not stop oxygen from getting to the eye.

They can be customised to correct any visual impairment and are comfortable to wear, they added.

~Fall In Love With: Ippolita Jewelry... Starring Guest Blogger Leann Rimes~

No, I'm not delusional, you read it right, Leann Rimes is in fact a contributor on this article. Let me fill you in... As you all know Mrs.Cibrian is a favorite of mine style-wise. I love to feature her style, I mean her shoe game alone is outstanding. I truly believe she just might be my shoe solemate... But something else I noticed was her jewelry. In almost every pic I see of her she has on gorgeous jewelery and I also noticed that most of it was from Ippolita. I decided to check them out and fell in love. They had my heart forever as soon as I saw their "Tiara" bangles, "Starlet" ring and "Glamazon" hoops. I reached out to Leann and asked if she would consider co-writing a post with me by picking out 5 of her favorite Ippolita pieces from their collections. I honestly didn't expect her to say yes, the newlywed is incredibly busy performing, finishing her new album due out in Oct, moving to Chi Town, etc... But she did say yes and I am genuinely grateful! I really can't thank her enough. I stated above that Leann is a favorite of mine style wise and that's very true but she has also become a favorite of mine as a person. And I don't say that about everyone. At all. Ask my inner-circle... I'm picky. But what I've learned about Leann Rimes-Cibrian is that behind the enormous talent and public persona is a very real, very cool chick who goes above and beyond in every aspect of her life. That's not often the case. A lot of my style favorites are gorgeous and talented women like Ms.Rimes, but I definitely couldn't see myself hangin with em... But Leann? Yeah, she's definitely welcome to go out for Don Julio and cupcakes anytime. On me because I definitely owe her one. Thank you again Leann...xoxo
